Travolta, Hawke ride into Western

John Travolta and Ethan Hawke are to saddle up for Western drama In A Valley Of Violence.

The pair are in talks to star in the film, which is described as a "revenge Western film set in the 1890s", reported The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.

Ti West will write and direct the movie, which will be produced by Jason Blum.

In A Valley Of Violence would mark Ethan's third collaboration with Jason and his company Blumhouse Productions, after starring in the horror thrillers Sinister and The Purge.

John, who last starred in action adventure Killing Season with Robert De Niro, will next be in crime drama The Forger, alongside Christopher Plummer and Tye Sheridan.

Ethan's upcoming films include Boyhood with Before Midnight director Richard Linklater and Michael Almereyda's big-screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's Cymbeline.
