Vaughn, Wilson comic duo of year

Vince Vaughn will pick up a comedy duo award with Owen Wilson

Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are have been named Comedy Duo of the Year ahead of the release of their new movie The Internship.

The Wedding Crashers stars will be honoured with the Comedy Duo of the Year Award at CinemaCon later this month.

CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser told the Hollywood Reporter: "When it comes to comedy, it doesn't get better than Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. They are two of the most gifted comedy actors of this or any generation.

"It's always a fun time at the movies when they appear in their own films, but when they team up, the fun increases exponentially and the laughter doesn't let up from start to finish."

The pair will be presented with the award at the convention's Big Screen Achievement Awards ceremony on Thursday, April 18, at The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

Vince and Owen are both members of the group of Hollywood funnymen dubbed The Frat Pack, along with Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell and Steve Carell.

While they have both appeared in several of the same films they first starred as a comedy duo in 2005 hit The Wedding Crashers.

They have teamed back up to play unemployed salesmen who decide to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at a major technology company in new comedy The Internship, due out in June.
