Vince Vaughn has signed up to star in the thriller Triple Time.
The funnyman is taking a break from comedy to play a US Marshall "tasked with escorting a prisoner accused of an environmental disaster to Washington DC", Variety reported.
Vince's character is forced to work with his captive after their transport plane explodes.
Peter Billingsley, who worked with Vince on Couples Retreat, will direct the movie and has also co-written the script.
Vince recently wrapped filming in The Internship with Owen Wilson and Rose Byrne.
