Waltz and Adams head to Big Eyes
Christoph Waltz and Amy Adams are set to star in biopic Big Eyes.
The pair have apparently signed on to play artists Walter and Margaret Keane in the movie, which Tim Burton would direct and produce, reported Deadline.
Ryan Reynolds and Reese Witherspoon were previously attached to play the couple before they moved on.
The film, which Tim has been developing since 2010 with a script from Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, centres on the artistic coupling of the painters, their eventual divorce and heated court battle over the authorship of their paintings.
Austrian star Christoph, who won the Oscar for best supporting actor for his performance in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, will next star in Terry Gilliam's The Zero Theorem and has a guest appearance in The Muppets sequel.
Amy - who was Oscar-nominated for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master - will next be seen as Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel and in Spike Jonze's Her.
Tim, who last worked on animated black-and-white film Frankenweenie, is working on a Beetlejuice sequel and a new Pinocchio film with Robert Downey Jr, but Big Eyes is expected to take priority over them, with filming scheduled to begin in coming months.
