Waltz joins Berlin film fest jury

Christoph Waltz is set to use his expertise as one of the jury members for the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival.

The Oscar-winning actor, who won best supporting actor Oscars for his roles in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, makes up part of the jury who will choose the winner of the festival's top Golden Bear award.

Brokeback Mountain producer James Schamus will chair the jury, which also includes James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, US actress Greta Gerwig and French director Michael Gondry.

Hong Kong actor Tony Leung, Danish actress Trine Dyrholm and Iranian-born filmmaker Mitra Farahani are also on the jury.

The Berlin International Film Festival, the first of the year's major European film festivals, will take place from February 6-16.
