Christoph Waltz is set to star in a film about a Polish murderer.
The two-time Oscar-winner has signed up for a part in thriller True Crimes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie is based on a New Yorker feature and follows the real-life case of Polish writer Krystian Bala, who was convicted of murder in 2007, years after the event, after publishing a novel detailing a crime similar to the one that had baffled police.
Christoph may be best known for playing villains in films like Inglourious Basterds and The Green Hornet, but this time he has been cast as the good guy cop who reopens the cold case and becomes entangled in Poland's dark underworld.
So far it isn't known who will play the murderer and no director is attached. However, Roman Polanski is tipped to be at the helm of the thriller.
