Steven Spielberg's War Horse has been nominated in the Eddie Awards, alongside Martin Scorsese's Hugo and David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Golden Globe winners The Descendants, The Artist and Midnight In Paris are also up for the prestigious editing honours, chosen by the American Cinema Editors.

Other movies that have been singled out include Moneyball, Bridesmaids, My Week With Marilyn and Young Adult, with The Adventures Of Tintin, Puss In Boots and Rango battling it out in the animated category.

Mildred Pierce, for which British actress Kate Winslet won a Golden Globe, is up against Damian Lewis' drama Homeland, Downton Abbey, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Breaking Bad in the TV fields.

The ACE's 62nd awards ceremony, hosted by Patton Oswalt, will be held on February 18.

Gemini:

Someone will break a promise to you, which is disappointing. Don't let this setback stop you from crossing the finish line. You may have to submit an entry late or attend the last few minutes of a meeting, but take heart. Rallying in the midst of difficult circumstances will count in your favour. Someone else may get a job or scholarship, but you'll be in the running for the next opportunity. In the meantime, have an alternative plan ready when relying on others for help.More
