War Horse up for editing honour

Steven Spielberg's film War Horse is nominated for an editing honour

Steven Spielberg's War Horse has been nominated in the Eddie Awards, alongside Martin Scorsese's Hugo and David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Golden Globe winners The Descendants, The Artist and Midnight In Paris are also up for the prestigious editing honours, chosen by the American Cinema Editors.

Other movies that have been singled out include Moneyball, Bridesmaids, My Week With Marilyn and Young Adult, with The Adventures Of Tintin, Puss In Boots and Rango battling it out in the animated category.

Mildred Pierce, for which British actress Kate Winslet won a Golden Globe, is up against Damian Lewis' drama Homeland, Downton Abbey, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Breaking Bad in the TV fields.

The ACE's 62nd awards ceremony, hosted by Patton Oswalt, will be held on February 18.
