Watch: Philip Schofield offers to clear This Morning viewer's debt

This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield has offered to pay one viewer's debt so she could afford to take her daughter on holiday.

Mum 'Jo' called to speak to the morning show's agony aunt Deirdre and told of how she had recently split from her long-term partner, only to discover he had left her in over £1000 worth of debt.

"This happened a few days before my daughter's 11th birthday," she told Schofield and co-presenter Holly Willoughby.

"She's due to go to secondary school this year and obviously the summer holidays are coming and I don't know what I'm meant to do with her.

"She's coming home saying her friends are all doing this and doing that and obviously I really want to be able do stuff with her but at the moment I'm just affording to feed us and pay gas an electric and support us as a family never mind any of the extras a 11 year old girl wants during the summer holidays."

After hearing some advice from the panelists, Phillip surprised Jo by telling her: "It's our last day, we're in a very good mood.

"We're going to sort your debt out. We're paying your debt. You're not in debt anymore. Have a lovely summer."
