Watson to receive Britannia Award

Emma Watson, Dame Judi Dench and Robert Downey Jr are among the stars set to be honoured by Bafta Los Angeles.

The actors will be presented with Britannia Awards, alongside Mark Ruffalo and director Mike Leigh.

The Bafta Los Angeles Britannia Awards "honour individuals who have dedicated their careers to advancing the art forms of the moving image in the US, UK and beyond".

The gongs will be dished out at a glittering gala dinner in October, which will be hosted by British comedian Rob Brydon.

Harry Potter star Emma will be given the British Artist Of The Year trophy, which "pays tribute to a talented British artist whose outstanding performances have demonstrated the high quality of their craftsmanship".

Dame Judi will been awarded the 2014 Albert R Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment.

Iron Man star Robert will receive the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film and Hulk star Mark is being honoured with the Humanitarian Award for his work with his non-profit organisation Water Defense.

Filmmaker Mike will be given the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing presented by the GREAT Britain Campaign.

The gong is given to "deeply respected, distinctive and innovative directors, whose contribution as both technicians and artists represents the zenith of the directing profession".
