Weisz film to close Toronto fest

Rachel Weisz plays a mystery woman in Page Eight

Rachel Weisz and Bill Nighy's spy tale Page Eight has been chosen to close next month's Toronto International Film Festival, one of the world's biggest cinema showcases.

The film, which co-stars Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon and Judy Davis, will bring down the curtain on the festival that runs from September 8 to 18.

Other films added to the Toronto line-up include Nicole Kidman and Nicolas Cage's thriller Trespass, Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard's Winnie Mandela drama Winnie, and Gerard Butler's African missionary tale Machine Gun Preacher.

Jason Statham and Robert De Niro's action saga Killer Elite and Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy's comedy Hysteria are also being screened.

Among previously announced Toronto titles is From the Sky Down, a portrait of Irish band U2 - the first documentary ever to open the festival.
