Olivia Wilde will play a medical student who tries to bring the dead back to life in Reawakening

Olivia Wilde is in talks to star in medical thriller Reawakening.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone actress is rumoured to team up with Mark Duplass for the horror film, set in the world of medicine, reported Variety.

The pair are tipped to play research students who discover the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead, but their actions soon result in a series of sinister consequences.

David Gelb, who directed Jiro Dreams Of Sushi, will take the reins on the horror thriller, which has been written by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater.

Olivia, who played magician's sidekick Jane in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone alongside Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, will next star in Ron Howard's Formula One racing drama Rush alongside Chris Hemsworth.
