Wilde: Third Person is so personal

Olivia Wilde stars in Third Person

Olivia Wilde has revealed that Liam Neeson was a "wonderful" screen partner in Paul Haggis' drama Third Person.

The Rush star, who had to film love scenes with the Irish actor in the movie, admitted all her scenes were with Liam at the film's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"He was wonderful," she gushed of her co-star.

The romantic drama tells the stories of three intertwined relationships - starring Olivia and Liam in Paris, James Franco and Mila Kunis in New York, and Adrien Brody and Moran Atias in Rome.

Olivia, who brightened up the red carpet in a yellow Valentino dress and Christian Louboutin heels, explained: "The script has so much depth. It's very personal to Paul and I thought it was very well-written. I think what you learn from it is we are all existing in such different worlds, but there is a universal truth.

"And that is, we are all seeking human connection and we find worth in love - we really define our self-worth through the love of another human being. Alone, we don't really mean anything."

Adrien added: "That's the tragic underlying aspect of this film that is so beautiful. We can all relate to the message that love is complicated and takes a lot to see through."

Director Paul said the film will make viewers think.

"People are going to either love it or hate it, like Crash. A lot of people want their movies to be easily understood, underlined and in bold. I want people to talk about this movie afterwards. As an industry, we need to respect the audience more. I like films that make you think," he told Variety.
