Will Ferrell has insisted he will never make a sequel to his Christmas film Elf - because he can't fit into the outfit any more.

The Anchorman star donned an elf costume to play one of Santa's helpers in the 2003 comedy but told fans that there won't be a follow up.

Asked on US TV show Watch What Happens Live if Elf 2 would happen, the 46-year-old said: "Absolutely not."

When quizzed about why he wouldn't reprise the role, Will joked: "I just think it would look slightly pathetic if I tried to squeeze back in the elf tights: Buddy the middle-aged elf."

The film also starred James Caan, Bob Newhart and Zooey Deschanel.

Gemini:

Don't bring your work home with you. Although you're wonderfully efficient in your job, you require different skills when dealing with friends and family. Be generous with your praise, resources and encouragement. Someone who is struggling needs moral support. Giving a lecture about personal responsibility will not help. Instead, lend a sympathetic ear. Ask questions. Picture things from the other person's point of view. A receptive attitude will strengthen your relationship.More
