Williams, Modine head to the Altar

Olivia Williams and Matthew Modine are set to star in British thriller, Altar.

The Anna Karenina star will play the British wife of an American artist, played by Matthew. The couple discover terrib;e horrors haunting their country home when they start renovation work.

Production has started in Yorkshire, with the film planned to premiere at the 2014 Toronto Film Festival, reported Variety.

Antonia Clarke, Adam Thomas Wright and Steve Oram also star in Altar, which will be directed by British filmmaker Nick Willing from a script he wrote himself.

Olivia, who has starred in films like Hyde Park On Hudson, The Ghost Writer and An Education, will next star in Sabotage alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington.

The 45-year-old will also appear in David Cronenberg's Maps To The Stars with Robert Pattinson and Julianne Moore.

US actor Matthew, who previously appeared in the Steve Jobs biopic Jobs and The Dark Knight Rises, will star in Last Days Of Coney Island.
