Bruce Willis has revealed the secret behind the hirsute look he debuted at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie.
The GI Joe: Retaliation star showed off his grey beard as he walked the red carpet in Hollywood and said it was the result of a bet with wife Emma.
"My wife owes me 200 dollars now," he said. "She said I wasn't going to grow my beard out and dared me to do it. So we made a bet, so I made 200 dollars. But now she's got to look at this beard."
Bruce stars alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Channing Tatum in the sequel to 2010 action hit GI Joe: Rise Of The Cobra.
He said he had been keen to join the franchise in the role of General Joe Colton because it made him feel like a kid again.
"We used to launch GI Joe into the air, put him on arrows and sometimes flame was involved," he recalled of his childhood action figure.
"Sometimes firecrackers might have been involved and GI Joe can take it. He was always there, so to be in this film is fantastic."
