Willow: Intuition said no to Annie

Willow Smith has said it was her intuition that led her to pull out of starring in Annie.

The 13-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith was due to star in Jay Z's remake of musical Annie, which Will is producing, but has been replaced by Beasts Of The Southern Wild Oscar-nominee Quvenzhane Wallis.

Willow told Teen Vogue of her decision to quit: "To be honest, something inside me was just, like, 'Don't'. I'm very connected with my intuition."

The actress, singer and fashionista - who had a major hit aged just nine with Whip My Hair - previously revealed she had wanted to step out of the spotlight and take some time to find herself.

She has now said she is considering releasing another album.

Willow said: "I have enough songs to make an album, but most of the songs I don't like.

"It's going to be something outlandish, something that nobody can imagine, something that comes from me and only me. Something we need right now."
