Fancy a chance of acting alongside some of the most glamorous soap stars in the UK?

Going under the hammer at the Money Can’t Buy auction at a fund-raising ball in Belfast this October will be a walk-on part on award-winning Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

The highest bidder at the White Sapphire Ball, and a friend, will be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the Hollyoaks set at Lime Pictures Childwall Studio.

Afterwards, the winner of the exclusive celebrity package will then appear on the show, which stars local actor Gerard McCarthy.

The star-studded day will end with a meal for the winner at a top Liverpool restaurant, hosted by Gerard, followed by a night in the city’s Malmaison hotel.

The White Sapphire Ball, which takes place on October 3 at the Europa Hotel, is in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Speaking from the Hollyoaks set, Gerard, who plays cross-dresser Kris Fisher, said: “I can’t wait to meet the lucky bidder, work with them on set and show them the showbiz hot spots of Liverpool.

“I am delighted that Hollyoaks have been able to support a brilliant event in my hometown for this very special cause.”

The organiser of the White Sapphire Ball, Belfast actress Seainin Brennan, said: “It is magnificent to think that one of the most successful programmes on our screens is offering an unforgettable celebrity experience, which will no doubt raise a large amount of money at the White Sapphire Ball for this very worthy cause.”

Golfing sensation Rory McIlroy has also agreed to put his professional services up for auction at the ball and play a round of golf with one bidder at Lough Erne Golf Resort For more information visit www.thewhitesapphireball.com
