Winona Ryder is reportedly in talks to star in a new action movie alongside Jason Statham and James Franco.
Homefront has been written by action king Sylvester Stallone and the Black Swan star would play a former biker chick, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Adapted by Sly from Chuck Logan's book, the story follows a former Drug Enforcement Agent, played by Jason, who wants to retire to a small town and live the quiet life. But his plans are scuppered by a villainous drug dealer played by James. Winona would play the bad guy's girlfriend.
Raising Hope's Izabela Vidovic has been signed up to play Jason's daughter.
Former child star Winona has made a successful comeback to acting following a five-year break after she was convicted of shoplifting in 2001. She has played a variety of roles throughout her career but is not particularly associated with the action genre.
Runaway Jury's Gary Fleder is directing and Sly is producing.
Filming is due to start in September in New Orleans.
