Winslet in talks for Boyle's Jobs
Kate Winslet is in negotiations to join Danny Boyle's biopic about Steve Jobs.
The Oscar-winning actress is said to be in discussions to sign up for the female lead in the Universal drama, reported Variety.
Natalie Portman was previously attached to the role.
Michael Fassbender is already on board to play the late Apple co-founder Jobs, while Seth Rogen had been in talks to portray his business partner Steve Wozniak.
Jeff Daniels is in the running to take the role of former Apple president John Scully, although no official offer is in place yet.
Written by award winner Aaron Sorkin, the as-yet-untitled film is based on Walter Isaacson's biography about the innovative technology creator.
Kate, who won the best actress Academy Award for her performance in The Reader, will next be seen reprising her role as the villainous Jeanine Matthews in the Divergent sequel, Insurgent.
The 39-year-old actress will also star in John Hillcoat's crime drama Triple Nine alongside Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Aaron Paul, and Jocelyn Moorhouse's big-screen adaptation of Rosalie Ham's revenge novel, The Dressmaker, with Liam Hemsworth.
