Reese Witherspoon could be sharing screen time with Clint Eastwood in sporting drama Trouble With The Curve.
The Oscar-winning star is said to be in the running to play Clint's screen daughter, with producers also "considering" Muppets actress Amy Adams, reported Twitchfilm.com.
Sandra Bullock's name had been rumoured to take the lead, but has reportedly moved on.
The Warner Bros film, written by Randy Brown and the directorial debut of Clint's longtime colleague Robert Lorenz, follows an ageing baseball scout, who decides to go on a final trip with his daughter after he finds out he is slowly losing his sight.
Clint - who has recently completed J Edgar, starring Leonardo DiCaprio - is already on board to play the veteran sporting star.
There is no word as to when shooting will begin.
