Witherspoon: Vergara made me laugh
Reese Witherspoon has revealed that working with Sofia Vergara was a real hoot.
The Wild star plays a cop who finds herself on the run with a prisoner, a drug dealer's wife played by the Modern Family actress, in the upcoming action-comedy, Don't Mess With Texas.
"She's amazing. Sofia Vergara is one of the funniest people I've ever met in my entire life, but working with her, I literally could not stop laughing," she told E! News.
The pair shot scenes for Anne Fletcher's movie in Louisiana last summer. Reese posted a photo of herself handcuffed to Sofia on Instagram in June with the caption: "Things could be worse."
Another shot showed the pair sitting in the front seat of a police vehicle. Reese wrote: "Happy Friday with @sofiavergara. #workwife #happywifehappylife."
"It's definitely like a Thelma And Louise kinda thing - a culture clash," Reese explained about their collaboration.
"I think people are going to love her in this movie. She's beautiful, she's funny, she's smart - everything you know she is but you see her for two hours on a movie screen. It's awesome."
And the 5'1" actress joked that working alongside Sofia Vergara, who is 5'7", made her feel "really short".
"(She wears) really hot clothes and she looks adorable. (I felt) short next to her. Really short," the petite actress added.
Don't Mess With Texas is due to be released later this year.
