Woman In Black film starts shooting

Phoebe Fox and Jeremy Irvine have started shooting The Woman In Black sequel Angel Of Death.

British actress Phoebe, in her first leading film role, and War Horse's Jeremy star alongside Harry Potter actress Helen McCrory in the movie.

The follow-up to the 2012 horror - which starred Daniel Radcliffe - continues the story four decades later, when the sudden arrival of a group of evacuated children at Eel Marsh House, after it was seized by the government during World War II, awakens its darkest inhabitant.

The film will be directed by Tom Harper, who will be shooting throughout England and at Pinewood Studios.

He said: "There's such a fantastic history of British horror films and it's great to be continuing the story of Susan Hill's vengeful cult character. Jon Croker's script is haunting and powerful and I'm delighted to be working with such a great cast and crew to bring it to life."

The Woman In Black, which was directed by James Watkins, was the highest grossing British horror film of the past 20 years.

Hammer and Entertainment One announced that The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death will be released in the UK on Friday February 13, 2015.
