Worthington enters The Keeping Room

Sam Worthington is due to star in Civil War drama The Keeping Room

Sam Worthington is set to star in war drama The Keeping Room.

The Clash Of The Titans star could be sharing screen time with Hailee Steinfeld, Brit Marling and Nicole Beharie in the Civil War piece, reported Deadline.

The 36-year-old actor is said to be cast as a soldier who has left the Union Army, and encounters women who have been left to fend for themselves in the final days of the unrest.

Directed by Harry Brown film-maker Daniel Barber, the film is scheduled to begin in June.

Sam will next be in David Ayer's action thriller Ten alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joe Manganiello, and is expected to reprise his role as Jake Sully in James Cameron's Avatar sequel.
