Yelchin: Twihards will like my film
Fright Night star Anton Yelchin believes Twilight fans should still be able to enjoy the new vampire movie, despite it being different to the hit love story.
The young actor stars as Charlie in Craig Gillespie's 3D remake of the 1985 movie, who suspects his next door neighbour of being a vampire and in the film his character mocks Twilight.
Anton said: " It's a completely different film, it's a monster film, it's not a suburban romance in any way.
"But I think there are people that can enjoy both, people that will only enjoy Twilight, or only enjoy Fright Night, but it is definitely a completely different film."
Christopher Mintz-Plasse, star of Superbad and Kick-Ass, appears alongside Anton in the film as Charlie's former best friend Evil Ed.
The two actors revealed they bonded while making the movie.
Anton said: "We watched a lot of Family Guy together."
Christopher added: "We in a way were forced to hang out with each other because we didn't know anybody in Albuquerque where we filmed, so we just kind of chilled with each other and luckily were interested in similar things."
Fright Night is released in cinemas on Friday September 2.
