Zac and Justin eye up Memphis role?
Zac Efron and Justin Timberlake are reportedly eyeing up the same role.
The High School Musical star and the pop superstar both have their eye on the forthcoming film adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Memphis, reported the New York Post.
Both actors are apparently interested in the lead role of the 50s era radio DJ Huey Calhoun, and have gone to New York to check out the show - with Zac attending it twice.
There is yet to be an announcement about adapting Memphis for the big screen, but a visit to the show by Oliver Stone has sparked buzz about a potential film project.
The Wall Street director has been spotted taking in the musical this spring, and the Post reported his rep confirmed that he has approached one of the show's writers, Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, about doing a film adaptation.
