Zoe progresses in Dancing on Ice

Zoe Salmon and dancing partner Matt Evers react as the scores come in

Ice-skating queen Zoe Salmon is through to the next round of the hit ITV programme Dancing On Ice after being saved from elimination by the judges.

The 29-year-old who took to the ice with her skating partner Matt Evers to skate to Alesha Dixon’s The Boy Does Nothing, was saved by all five judges following a skate-off with Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett.

Despite finishing second on the leaderboard with her highest score ever, 25.5 – just half a point behind former X Factor star Ray Quinn who skated to the swing classic ‘Have You Met Miss Jones?’ – Zoe found herself in the bottom two following a public vote.

However Roxanne’s performance to the Pussycat Dolls’ Don’t Cha failed to win the judges over and a relieved Zoe was told she was through to the next round of the competition.

All the stars found this week particularly trying as they had to incorporate a prop into their routines.

Zoe had to use a gold cane, while the other performers had to use a chair, a hat, a brush and a feather boa.

However, dressed in a daring flesh coloured outfit, the Bangor girl smiled the whole way through her routine.

On hearing she had received her highest score yet she screamed: “Oh my goodness, I can’t believe it”.

Judge Ruthie Henshall told Zoe: “To me a brilliant performance is one that makes me feel. I was so excited watching you, and couldn’t stop smiling. You light up the rink when you come on. I think you are a real contender.”

Zoe revealed to host Philip Schofield what may have been her lucky charm – a gold Blue Peter badge attached to her outfit.

The blonde beauty was dressed to impress in what may have been her most daring outfit yet – a flesh coloured dress with some strategically placed crystals.

“My costume is absolutely beautiful; I think it could be my favourite yet," said the star."It’s very glitzy and glamourous and hopefully the viewers will love it as much as I do.

“It’s gold, sparkly and flesh-coloured and it has gold tassels which move really nicely with my routine. Not to mention the gold Swarovski crystals which are every girl’s dream.”

The other girls also spiced up the show with raunchy routines and revealing outfits. Jess, who skated to Umbrella by Rihanna was in a silver encrusted catsuit and Roxanne wore a Baywatch style red bikini.

Sorting out and organising your surroundings should be your first priority. As a general rule, you don't mind an untidy workspace. As far as you're concerned, messiness is a sign of genius. There comes a point when even the most talented person has to make order from chaos. It may take a few hours to sort through all the papers that have accumulated, but take heart. Once you dispose the junk, you'll be able to zip through chores like a hot knife through butter.More
