Disaster Movie

(12A, 87 mins)

By DamonSmith
Friday, 5 September 2008

Starring Matt Lanter, Vanessa Minnillo, Gary ’G Thang’ Johnson, Crista Flanagan

When you’ve hit rock bottom and the last glimmer of hope has disappeared, the only way is up, isn’t it?

Apparently not, as Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer demonstrate so emphatically with their latest scattershot spoof, boasting a snappy title that sums up both the film’s thematic targets and its pitiful quality.

Difficult as it is to conceive, Disaster Movie is even more disjointed, unimaginative and interminably dull than the writer-directors’ previous efforts: the unholy trinity of Date Movie, Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans.

these films, although they provide a modicum of funnies as it were, the level of intelligence needed to actually warrant this film as being good is actually really low

Now doesnt that say alot about modern day society

Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie were both hilarious and disaster movie is just as good. Some people like these kind of films, stop being so one sided

I think u have just set an extremly bias comment to a movie there. u dont provide two sides to the situation and therefore have not judged it right. that is terribly un-professional. the last three movies have been massive hits with the public and have made people smile. u have just taken that away with your arrogence for movies.
