Top Gear shows still coming to Belfast's Odyssey Arena

By Hayden Smith

Four Top Gear shows that were scheduled to take place in Norway next week have been postponed - but Belfast's dates are still on.

It is understood the decision to delay the live performances was taken in part because presenter Jeremy Clarkson remains suspended after allegedly punching Irish producer Oisin Tymon.

Next week's shows in Stavanger will be rescheduled until later this year. But organisers added: "At present, all other Top Gear Live dates will run as scheduled."

Up to 10,000 people expect to see Clarkson in the Odyssey Arena from May 22 to 24.

Earlier, Clarkson claimed he was joking when he appeared to criticise BBC bosses during an expletive-laden rant at a charity event.
