Ghostbusters the girlie version? All-female cast set to go a-haunting
Ghostbusters fans will be able to call Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig if the director of the third film in the series is to be believed.
Paul Feig, who worked with the pair in the hit film Bridesmaids, has already announced he is making the film which he said would "star hilarious women" and he hinted at his preferred cast on Twitter by posting pictures of four actresses.
His tweet showed McCarthy and Wiig with Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, sparking speculation they would take on the roles made famous by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.
Feig also said: "In other news, Ghostbusters will be hitting theatres July 22, 2016. Save the date!"
