Duke Special will be at HMV in Donegall Arcade, Belfast, next week for a signing and to perform tracks from his re-released album Songs From The Deep Forest.

It's a great chance to see him play an intimate gig, so get yourselves along to the music store at 5pm on Monday.

Following a sell-out show at the Empire Music Hall in February this year, Newry band The 4 Of Us are back with a short theatre tour of Northern Ireland. The band, who are releasing their new single Same Mistake Again, will be playing Belfast, Cookstown, Armagh, Derry and Enniskillen as part of the tour. They'll be at the Black Box in Belfast for two nights: Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20.

A host of acts from past X Factor series will be in Belfast in November to perform at the 7 Live venue in the Odyssey Pavilion to raise funds for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. Headlining on Friday, November 9, will be brother act Journey South, accompanied by 2006 finalists Ashley Mackenzie and Dionne Mitchell and Larne lad Phillip Magee, a finalist in 2005. Tickets cost £27.50 and are on sale now by calling Lindsay Wood, Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, on 9080 5599.

Still on the subject of the X Factor, the show's 2005 winner Shayne Ward will be in Belfast tomorrow morning, at HMV in Donegall Arcade, signing copies of his newly released double A-sided single No U Hang Up/If That's Ok With You. But girls, you'd better be up with the larks if you want to see the sexy singer in the flesh. Shayne will be signing at 9am and a big crowd is expected.

Belfast indie band Escape Act will be teaming up with their old buddy Tom McShane at the Rotterdam Bar tomorrow night. Tickets are £5 and doors open at 9pm.

Northern Ireland's budding rock stars have just a few days left to apply for this year's ATL RockSchool. ATL RockSchool, BBC Northern Ireland's search for the hottest new band around, is welcoming demos from all of Northern Ireland's young up-and-coming rock talent in the hope of finding the next Snow Patrol or Ash. The closing date for entries is this Sunday. Application forms are available at bbc.co.uk/atl and to enter, applicants must provide two original songs and a band photograph. Application forms can be downloaded from bbc.co.uk/atl and demos should be on CD or cassette format and contain a maximum of two original songs.
