Duran Duran and Bastille set to play pub gigs for War Child charity
Chart stars Bastille and Eighties hitmakers Duran Duran are to play a series of pub gigs to intimate audiences for charity.
The acts have signed up to take part in a series of shows called Passport Back To The Bars, which have been organised by War Child, a charity helping children in areas of conflict such as Syria, Iraq and Gaza.
Also in the first batch of names to be announced for the shows are guitar band Ride, who are reforming for a number of shows in 2015, but will play an acoustic set for their gig.
The series of shows — with a maximum of 300 people attending — will be staged from February 16-24 around the Brit Awards.
War Child last staged such gigs a decade ago with names on the bill including The Cure, Pet Shop Boys and Amy Winehouse.
