Feile 2014 boasts Kaiser Chiefs, Boyzone and Jason Manford in stellar line-up

Kaiser Chiefs, Boyzone and Jason Manford are among the headline acts taking to the stage for this summer's Feile 2014, it has been announced.

From July 31-August 10 the annual west Belfast community event will welcome a range of homegrown and international acts. Among them are Eighties chart-toppers Soul II Soul and Paul Young as well as The Selecter, Wolfe Tones, Frances Black, Laidback Luke and Blasterjaxx among others.

Feile an Phobail (The People's Festival), now in its 26th year, will also offer literary events, tours, talks, community events and street parties as well as the bigger music and comedy gigs.

Festival director Kevin Gamble said: "Feile 2014 represents the very best of the West, and we're delighted to have so many big names taking part this year, in the heart of the community alongside the best local talent.

"As ever, we endeavour to make our events accessible to all, whether they be free or affordably priced."

Culture Minister Caral Ni Chuilin said: "Feile continues to provide a fantastic programme of arts, cultural and community based activities.

"The fact that this is the 26th anniversary is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the local community to ensure its continued success."

Feile is supported by DCAL, Arts Council NI, NITB, Belfast City Council, Foras na Gaeilge, and Tennent's NI.
