Zayn Malik appears close to tears in the trailer for One Direction's new film.
The singer is filmed talking to his mum on the phone during the band's US tour.
He tells her: "Are you crying mum? Well get off the phone then before I start crying."
In other emotional scenes in the movie, called 1D3D, Niall Horan says that the hardest thing "about the travel is missing home and missing family" but he adds: "We have become like brothers now."
Meanwhile, Harry Styles' mum Anne tells him: "No matter how big and famous you become, you'll always be my baby."
Zayn, who was recently reported to want to quit the band, says: "As a group we're stronger than we would be if we were five people by themselves."
Due for release this summer, the 3D film, which captures the band backstage, is being made by Super Size Me director Morgan Spurlock.
