1D not splitting despite time apart

One Direction have rubbished rumours of a split after suggesting they hadn't seen each other in months before the Brit Awards.

Liam Payne told host James Corden at the awards ceremony: "We're having a great night, it's the first time we've seen each other in three months maybe."

Fuel was added to Directioners' fears when it was revealed Harry Styles had been working on material alone with John Legend, with one of the songs going to X Factor USA winners Alex and Sierra, but the boys reassured fans that they were still together in an interview with The Sun.

Harry, who has been spending time with his mum on a family holiday to Los Angeles, said: " We're not breaking up. We've spent every day together for months and I forgot what my mum looked like. It's just holidays.

"I miss the boys but if you don't see your family you would go mad. We don't want to be on The Big Reunion next year. We don't want to be on The Big Reunion ever. Well, maybe in 2050."

Liam added: "We're writing the new album and want to make that amazing... and rehearsals are just about to start soon for the tour. We're messaging all the time. It's been a while since we've all been together so we are enjoying being back in each other's company."
