1D working with Good Charlotte

One Direction have been in the studio with Good Charlotte

One Direction are rumoured to be collaborating with Good Charlotte for their next album, after they spent some time together in the recording studio.

Louis Tomlinson confirmed to his Twitter followers that he and bandmate Liam Payne worked with the punk-rock group.

"Great working with the Good Charlotte boys today!!" he wrote.

Good Charlotte's Benji Madden tweeted: "Good day today w/ @Louis_Tomlinson and @Real_Liam_Payne. Lotta laughs #1D #Directioners their new album is crazy. homies!! #Noice."

His brother Joel posted a photo of himself and Benji with Liam on their Instagram account, accompanied with the caption: "Noice! The London boyz putting in tha werk in the studio #1D."

One Direction have revealed they are starting work on their fourth album. Their third record, Midnight Memories, had more rock influences than their previous albums, Up All Night and Take Me Home.

The group previously said they were working on new tracks with Vaccines' Justin Young .

Liam said at the Brits Awards in February: "We're writing the new album and want to make that amazing."
