One Direction's Liam Payne dons pink leg-warmers to appear as a choreographer in the music video for the group's new single Best Song Ever.

The boyband - Liam, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - are all being transformed into different characters for the video, unveiling their new guises on Twitter each day in the run up to the single release.

Liam - who donned pink leg-warmers, retro eighties clothing and a pink headband - tweeted: "Gutted I left that headband on set."

Niall, 19, was first to show off his new look - using prosthetics and make-up to age him, so he could become a balding, bearded businessman in a pinstripe suit.

The boyband, who are touring the world with their second album Take Me Home, will be seen on the big screen this summer in the 3D film This Is Us.

Best Song Ever, the first single from their forthcoming third album, will be released on July 22.
