1D's Tomlinson installs panic room?

Louis Tomlinson is reported to have a panic room in his house

Louis Tomlinson has reportedly installed a panic room at his house to protect him from obsessive fans.

The One Direction star was worried about stalkers - and has also become concerned after his girlfriend Eleanor Calder received death threats - so decided he needed somewhere to help him "feel safe" in his plush Hertfordshire pad, reported The Sun.

The 21-year-old forked out to have a special secure room installed at the mansion, following in the footsteps of bandmate Zayn Malik, who also has a panic room.

A source said: "Louis loves the fans and isn't overwhelmed with paranoia. He's just a realist about the dangers of being in the spotlight.

"One Direction followers are notorious for tracking the lads down, so that's made him a bit cautious."

It has previously been reported that university student Eleanor, like most girls linked to the One Direction heartthrobs, has received abuse online from fans.
