Abba make most popular comeback

Thank You For The Music - Abba have topped a poll of bands which people most want to see return to the stage.

The Swedish band took 28 per cent of the vote, according to the Daily Mirror, in a poll carried out following Kate Bush's celebrated return to the stage.

Second place went to US rockers Guns N' Roses and indie band Oasis were third in the survey of 1,000 British music fans.

The Smiths, who disbanded in 1987, came fourth and Faith No More, which recently announced their first album in 18 years, were fifth in the Samsung poll.

Queen frontman Freddy Mercury was the star people wished they had been able to see perform live in concert before his death, beating Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

Samsung's Robert King said: "It's great to see that music from previous decades still remains popular across all generations today."
