AC/DC could be kings of Slane Castle

Friday, 26 February 2010

Rockers AC/DC are tipped as one of the big-name acts to play Slane Castle this summer.

Slane owner Henry Mountcharles has provisionally set aside August 28 for a concert at the 80,000-strong Meath venue.

Now the rumour mill says that the Australian band could be the top performers at the popular venue.

The Whole Lotta Rosie stars are one of the few acts in the world deemed big enough to fill the outside venue — and who will also already be touring towards the end of the summer with their Black Ice show.

Currently on tour Down Under, they brought their spectacular stage show to Punchestown and the O2 arena last year.

Other names being mooted as possible performers by industry insiders include Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder, Muse and Robbie Williams.

Is this not the same story that the Belfast Telegraph run every year?
