US TV stations are hoping to sign Adele for a documentary

Adele has sparked a bidding war after she made a quip about featuring in a Beyonce-style documentary, according to reports.

The Skyfall singer caught the interest of US television giants when she was asked what she wanted to do next while she was backstage at the Oscars.

Academy Award winner Adele said: "Maybe I'll do an HBO special like Beyonce did."

Now the Daily Mirror reports that rival US TV stations are desperate to feature the singer in a feature length documentary.

A US insider was quoted as saying: "As soon as Adele said she could be interested in a show, TV producers were compiling suggestions.

"This will be a major coup for anyone to get. Adele hasn't done any major interviews for a long time. She has never spoken in depth about her relationship with partner Simon Konecki or the birth of her son."

Beyonce recently featured in an HBO documentary about her life, in which she spoke about the birth of daughter Blue Ivy and her marriage to rapper Jay-Z.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Adele left a post Oscars party early after picking up her best song award - to tuck into a burger.

It said the 24-year-old went to the In-N-Out fast food restaurant on LA's Sunset Boulevard to grab a burger and fries before getting back to her baby.

The newspaper said she told other guests: "I think I am going to get an In-N-Out and go home."
