Anastacia was such a success as guest judge on the X Factor that fans want her to get the job full-time, according to reports.
Nicole Scherzinger has apparently been offered the role but the former Pussycat Doll has not yet signed up for the £500,000 one-series deal, according to The Sun.
But the I'm Outta Love singer wowed her fellow judges and the audience during her stint at the Glasgow auditions, flirting with Gary Barlow and even ending up in tears.
Gary later tweeted to his followers: "Well done Anastacia for being a great guest judge."
An X Factor source was quoted as saying: "Everything is in place to sign Nicole but Anastacia was incredible. She had such great chemistry with the others.
"Nicole has been good in the past but she hasn't worked with anyone on this panel before except Louis, so who knows how she will do?
"Nothing is certain on The X Factor - things change down to the wire."
Other guest judges joining Gary, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos this series have included Geri Halliwell and Rita Ora.
