Avril and Chad let go with duet

Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger have recorded their first duet.

The pop-rock singer and the Nickelback rocker - who married in the South of France in July - have joined forces for power ballad Let Me Go, which will be released on Avril's new self-titled album in November.

But the piano-backed track does not reveal much insight into the newlyweds' relationship as they sing about breaking up and moving on.

The couple attended the 10th Huading Awards ceremony in Macau in China on Monday (October 7).

Avril, 29 and Chad, 38, began dating in July 2012 after meeting while co-writing a song for Avril's new album. She went on to release a cover of Nickelback hit How You Remind Me.

The Complicated singer first married Sum 41's Deryck Whibley in 2006, but filed for divorce in October 2009.

Let Me Go will be released on iTunes on October 15 before Avril's album goes on sale on November 5.
