Barlow sent pics to get noticed

Gary Barlow has admitted that he went to great lengths to kick-start his career - sending topless pictures of himself to record bosses.

The Take That singer sent out demo tapes and a series of snaps of himself in his late teens.

In a new BBC One documentary, When Corden Met Barlow, former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith revealed one of the photos, the Daily Star reported .

He joked: "How could I refuse? It looks like Annie Lennox but I knew he could be hot property."

Gary admitted: "I sent out a tape and lots of photos to lots of managers."

The music boss also revealed that he was originally planning to make Mark Owen the lead man in the group.

He said: "It was going to be a completely different band until Gary came along."
