Bieber: I fell down the stairs

Justin Bieber has injured his neck in a fall

Justin Bieber has shown off some scratches and a bruise on his neck, after revealing he fell down the stairs.

The Never Say Never pop star appeared to be asking for sympathy after he shared the photo of his injury on Instagram, with the caption "Why I gotta fall and cut my neck before a photoshoot? Fun.".

"So I decided I was gonna fall down the stairs. So I did. That's exactly what I did," he said, laughing, in the accompanying video.

The 19-year-old also tweeted: "If u didn't hear I fell down the stairs this morning. Check my Instagram for details. It was epic :) lol"

Justin's slip came just before his fashion shoot with Adidas, for their NEO label.

The Canadian singer clearly wants to prove that recent negative media attention isn't getting him down, as he also posted photos of himself topless and videos of him rapping in a club on Instagram.

He previously said he would focus on new music and his Believe world tour, as well as a new film.

In the past few months Justin has made headlines for getting into trouble, such as hitting a pedestrian with his car, abandoning one of his pet monkeys in Europe and keeping fans waiting hours at his live shows.
