Bjork album released after leak

Bjork has brought forward the release of her first new album in four years because of an online leak.

The record, called Vulnicura, was originally scheduled to come out in March, to coincide with the opening of a Bjork retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art.

But it was pushed out early after her music was leaked online, The Guardian reported.

The Icelandic star told fans on her Twitter page: "Dear folks & my music supporters, Vulnicura will be rolling out over the next 24 hours!!"

While the album is out on iTunes, vinyl and CD copies will still be held back until March.

The incident follows the leak of Madonna's songs in December, which she described as "artistic rape".
