Black Eyed Peas promise new tunes

The Black Eyed Peas are to reunite for new music in 2015, in celebration of their 20th anniversary, Will.i.am has revealed.

The group's frontman teased about the news as he promoted the fourth series of The Voice.

"I can't give too many details, but there's a bunch of Pea Bodies out there that we've been tweeting back and forth for the past couple of days over the excitement of 20 years of Black Eyed Peas," the rapper told Capital FM.

"We're going to have new music. We'll have a bunch of new experiences. I don't want to call them albums, but we'll have some experiences and a bunch of stuff to get the Pea Bodies and the folks that supported us and got us to this point."

The 39-year-old musician added: "So we'll make music for them and we'll just reflect on the dream. The initial dream we had, June 1995."

The new material will follow the Black Eyed Peas' 2010 album The Beginning, which spawned the hits The Time (Dirty Bit), Don't Stop The Party and Just Can't Get Enough.

The hip-hop quartet - Will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo - announced they are taking an indefinite hiatus following the completion of their 2011 world tour, following previous breaks in 2005 and 2009.

Will's comments come after band member Fergie recently unveiled her new solo single LA Love (la la), taken from her forthcoming second solo album.
