Bono and The Edge join Fender board
U2's Bono and The Edge are set to join the board of directors for US iconic guitar brand Fender.
The company said the ward-winning musicians will add to the board because of their experience in music and entertainment.
The move also adds to the brand's rock credibility.
Fender, which is majority owned by investment firm TPG Growth, was formed in 1946.
The company is best known for its guitars, including the Stratocaster and Telecaster.
Its guitars have been played by rock legends from Jimi Hendrix to Bruce Springsteen.
