Bono’s so sorry for insulting Coldplay frontman

Bono apologised yesterday after jokingly calling Coldplay’s Chris Martin a w****r, live on BBC Radio 1.
The U2 frontman was giving an interview to Jo Whiley when he blurted out the |un-bleeped comment while mentioning the singer.
The band played Radio 1’s Live Lounge this morning, where Bono serenaded a heavily pregnant woman and fans crammed in to watch their idols.
A BBC spokeswoman said: “An on-air apology was made immediately for the language used during the live broadcast. We apologise for any offence caused.”
The spokeswoman said that as far as she was aware there had been no complaints.

I agree that this is a lot of fuss about nothing - but Bozo is right!

I agree, why do we give this Bozo any print space or air time. He has shown he will do anything to promote his band, from standing on stage telling us how to relieve third word debt, whilst himself doing his bit for the poor by investing his money in magazines, real estate and flash boats. This is another attempt to get in the media whilst promoting an album by an out-of-date band. Watching them try to make out they are a young band is like watching Madonna dancing in her granny undies, Yeuuukkk!!!. Time to retire boys!!!!

No nothing about Chris Martin or Coldplay but to hear of Bono calling anyone a w****r is a laugh. Takes one to know one Hewson.

Bozo calling someone else a "w****r". Good to see he's taken a break from pontificating about how we should all stump up to save the third world. Except him of course. What an air sole.
