Boyzone singer Ronan Keating is set to tell all about his turbulent relationship with former manager Louis Walsh in a television interview.

The Dublin pop star will dish the dirt about the high profile pair’s infamous falling out in a candid one-on-one chat with Gay Byrne.

Keating is the fourth interviewee in the broadcaster’s current religious series, The Meaning of Life, and among the topics they touch upon is the much publicised rift.

Ronan will deny that he bears a grudge towards the X Factor boss and argue that if he did, Boyzone would not have been able to re-form or enjoy any of their recent success.

The falling out was one of the memorable in celebrity circles in recent times and sparked a war of words between the two media personalities.

At the time Louis described the crooner as lacking in talent and said that he had no personality while Ronan retaliated by saying that the Westlife manager was “not a nice character”.

The pair reconciled their differences in 2005 and have subsequently teamed up to get Boyzone off the ground once more.

Until now Ronan has stayed tight-lipped about the circumstances surrounding the row.

Viewers will also see Ronan talk movingly about the experience of watching his mother die from cancer which led to him setting up the successful Marie Keating foundation.

The dad of three reveals how the experience truly tested his faith and explains how he came to move on from it determined to make a real difference about cancer awareness.

The singer will also delve into his own family life, discussing what it means for him to be a father, as well as speaking in depth for the first time about his turbulent relationship with own his father.

The Rollercoaster singer also airs his opinions on the Catholic Church as well as recalling the memorable day he met the Pope.

Following the interview Gay Byrne described the Boyzone star as a “revelation” and said he was impressed with how he turned his grief over the death of his mother into something positive.

In recent weeks viewers have seen the former Late Late Show host interview other Colin Farrell, Maeve Binchy and Gerry Adams.

Gay will also speak to Sinead O’Connor and director Neil Jordan before the end of the series. The episode featuring Ronan Keating will air next Sunday night at 10.20pm.

I have always found Louis Walsh a very distasteful character. He adds little to any programs he is taking part in. Iheis diffcuot to know who is the least talented, Louis or the lead singer of U2.
