Britney Spears has revealed details about her forthcoming new single, Hold It Against Me.
Following rumours that the pop star would be releasing new music in 2011, she also unveiled the cover artwork for the track, showing a close-up of her face, and teased that the tune would be released officially very soon.
"Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that's good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday," she tweeted, signing off as Brit.
Britney's last single, 3, (from her 2009 greatest hits album, The Singles Collection) reached the Top 10 upon its release in 2009, but it has been a while since the 29-year-old's songs have attained UK chart success as previous hits like Toxic and Everytime.
Womanizer, the first single from her last album Circus, reached the third spot, but the title track only got to No 13 while If U Seek Amy went to No 20. Radar failed to even make the top 20.
Britney hinted her next album would be released in March.
"I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!" she tweeted last month.
